Abstract

The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) embodies a structured approach to crafting information systems that align with organizational objectives. Central to SDLC is the utilization of various development methodologies, each offering unique strategies for system design, construction, and deployment. This study explores a spectrum of methodologies including Rapid Application Development (RAD), Agile Development, Parallel Model, Iterative Model, Prototyping Model, V-Shaped Model, and the Linear Sequential Model (Waterfall). Through meticulous evaluation, encompassing criteria such as technological proficiency, system intricacy, dependability, and turnaround time, this research aims to provide insights into selecting and employing appropriate methodologies. Furthermore, the study integrates findings from scientific journals, enriching the understanding of methodological applications in real-world contexts. Ultimately, this research contributes to refining SDLC practices, fostering the development of information systems tailored to organizational needs.
