Ethics of Publication and Malpractice Statement
This statement will clarify the ethical conduct of all parties involved in all article publishing activities in the IJCITSM Journal, including the International Institute for Advanced Science & Technology (IIAST), Authors, Editors, and Peer-reviewers.
These statements are based on the COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Jurnal Editors.
Ethical Guideline for Journal Publication
The article's publication in the IJCITSM Journal is an essential building block in developing a coherent and respected knowledge network. This is a direct reflection of the quality of the authors' work and the institutions that support them. The reviewed articles support and embody scientific methods. Articles that have been reviewed will support and realize scientific methods. It is therefore essential to agree on the standards of ethical conduct expected of all parties involved in publishing: authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, publishers, and the public.
As the publisher of this Journal, the International Institute for Advanced Science & Technology (IIAST) takes the duty of trust at all stages of publishing very seriously, and we acknowledge ethical and other responsibilities. We are committed to advertising, reprinting, or other commercial revenues not impacting or influencing editorial decisions. In addition, IJCITSM Journal and the Editorial Board will assist in communication with journals and other publishers where this is useful and necessary.
Publication decisions
The Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Cyber and IT Service Management (IJCITSM) will be fully responsible for selecting and filtering incoming articles published in the International Journal of Cyber and IT Service Management (IJCITSM). This is the basis for the decision of the journal's editorial board members. International Journal of Cyber and IT Service Management (IJCITSM) complies with the legal requirements governing defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor consults with the editorial team and reviewers in making this decision.
Non-Discrimination
Reviewers and editors at all times will evaluate their intellectual scripts regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, religious beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, or political philosophy.
Confidentiality
Reviewers and editorial staff are not allowed to disseminate any information about the writing script sent to anyone other than the author, whether reviewer, potential reviewer, another editorial team, publisher, advisor, and appropriate publisher, as appropriate.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest
Unpublished material that has been disclosed in the author's manuscript is not permitted to be used by any journal's governing board as research material without obtaining the author's consent.
Duties of Reviewer
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
The journal uses a double-blind review. The editor-in-chief helps communicate to editors with authors as needed and assists authors in improving the quality of their research papers.
Promptness
Journal editors are committed to providing timely reviews to authors. If the reviewer does not submit the report on time, the paper is immediately sent to another eligible reviewer.
Confidentiality
The manuscript's content for review should be treated as confidential documents. It is not permissible for him to tell and show or even discuss with others unless the board of editors permits.
Standards of Objectivity
Editors and reviewers are required to evaluate papers based on content. The review should be done objectively, and all criticism comments and reviews should respect the author. Reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers must identify relevant published works that the author has not cited. Any assertion that observations, derivations, or arguments have been previously reported must be accompanied by relevant quotes. Reviewers should also state to the editor if there are substantial similarities or overlaps between the manuscript being considered and any other articles published.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Information or ideas obtained in the review process must be confidential and not used for personal gain. Reviewers must reject a manuscript in which they have a conflict of interest due to competition, collaboration, or other relationships and connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions related to the manuscript.
Duties of Authors
Reporting standards
The authors of the original research report should present an accurate report of the work done and an objective discussion of the significance of the research. The underlying data should be accurately represented in the paper. A manuscript must contain sufficient details and references to allow others to imitate the work. Fraudulent or intentionally inaccurate statements constitute unethical and unacceptable behavior.
Data Access and Retention
Authors are required to provide raw data related to manuscripts for editorial and must be prepared to provide public access to such data and must, in any case, store such data after publication.
Originality and Plagiarism
The authors must ensure that the submitted work is entirely original, and if the author has used the work and/or words of others, then this has been quoted appropriately. Papers with such problems are automatically rejected, and authors are strongly advised.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
When a paper is submitted for possible publication, the submitting author makes a written statement that the paper has not been published, nor is it currently under publication with any other journal. Simultaneous submission is considered unethical and is therefore unacceptable.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others is required. Authors must cite publications that have led to the authors’ current research.
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to those who have contributed significantly to the research reported in the manuscript. The corresponding author is responsible for keeping co-authors posted on the review process. If accepted, all authors must give a signed statement that the research work is their original.
Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects
If the work involves chemicals, procedures, or equipment that have unusual hazards inherent in their use, the author must identify this in the manuscript.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or another substantive conflict of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
Fundamental errors in published works
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her published work, the author must promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
